How to Measure for Odd Angle Cuts

While working on a roof cricket for my latest workshop addition (a story for another day), I had to make several angled cuts, for roof sheathing being installed.

From a previous small 4 ft x 6 ft addition (to same workshop), I had some angled areas. At first I had trouble angling the cuts correctly, since where they were located, made using a bevel gauge or drawing a line on the board not feasible.

So, after a trial & error approach, I came up with the following simple method, explained with the help of the photo below.
